Morning surgeries are by appointment between 8.30am and 12.30 am Monday - Friday. Emergencies will be seen on same day, at the discretion of the doctor.

Evening surgeries are by appointment between 15.20p.m. And 6.00 p.m. Monday – Friday.

It is helpful if you could let us know if you need a longer appointment time - the standard time is 10 minutes. We have two GPs consulting Monday-Friday. Reception is open all day from 08.00a.m. until 6.30p.m. Monday to Friday.

You can book an appointment either by telephone, in person at the surgery or you can book “on-line” at My Health online by registering your e-mail address at the surgery. You can access this 24hrs a day to book an appointment that suits you. Please ensure the practice has your up to date mobile phone number to receive text reminders.

We sometimes have an academic fellow from University Hospital Wales working in the practice; you will be informed if your appointment is booked with him/her

In addition, you may be appointed to see a locum GP if doctor is on annual leave or off for any other reason. It is the intention of the practice to be involved in training of doctors. This will mean that from time to time a medical student will be present with your consent.

Telephone Advice

Sometimes a telephone call will avoid the need for a consultation. If you wish to speak to a doctor, please ring before 10.00 a.m. if possible.

Practice Nurse/Healthcare Assistant

The practice nurses clinics are by appointment only although we try to leave spaces for urgent problems.  The nurses are on duty from 8.30am – 12.30 p.m. Monday - Friday morning and 2.00 p.m - 6.00 p.m Monday - Friday evenings.

The HCA can do a wide range of procedures including dressings, injections, immunizations (B12), ear washouts, E.C.G’s, spirometry, health checks and advice on smoking, alcohol diet and exercise.

The practice nurses offer specialist clinics in chronic disease management and well woman; they are held at special times during the week and are by invitation only.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

We will not tolerate patients who do not attend (DNA) for their booked appointments. On the third “DNA” the patient will be asked to register with an alternative practice.
