Repeat Prescriptions

If you are on regular treatment you will have a repeat prescription reorder form attached.

Please note that we only accept online or written requests as this reduces errors that can occur with telephone calls.

By registering with the practice for the NHS Wales App you can view and order your repeat medication 24 hours a day.

By ordering through the NHS Wales App you can order your medication 24 hours a day.

Please allow 72 hours for processing if you collect from the surgery or 7 days if you collect from a nominated pharmacy.

Medication Reviews

If you are on any repeat medication we will need to carry out an annual review to determine if the medication you are taking is working effectively and as it should be.  You will either be notified on your repeat medication slip to book an appointment or we may contact you by telephone, letter or text.

Depending on the type of medication you are taking you may need to have a blood test before a consultation is carried out by our practice Pharmacist either over the telephone or face to face.  

Some medication maybe reauthorised when speaking to a clinician during an appointment.

Nominating a Pharmacy for Collection

Nominating a pharmacy to collect your prescription on your behalf can save you time in the long run.  bBy doing this, you will simply need to collect your prescription straight from the pharmacy rather than you having to take the time to collect your prescription from the surgery and then taking it to the pharmacy to be dispensed.

If a pharmacy already collects your prescriptions for you, you do not need to nominate one.  If you are ordering your repeat prescription please do so through the surgery app, MHOL or using the form below.

Please ensure you allow enough time for your prescription to be processed, the surgery requires 48 hours for processing as normal and a pharacy would need longer to dispense - Pleae check with your local pharmacy of choice.

If you do not nominate a pharmacy your prescription will be held at Pen Y Cae Surgery
